Certified Construction

MCSI is on the forefront of
this emerging sector and currently has four candidates on the LEED
accreditation track. MCSI is a proud member of the USGBC and AIA.
Projects that are designed with
future LEED certification as their goal offer a unique opportunity for
collaboration and partnership
between the design team, project owners, construction managers and
general contractor. Milestone
Construction Services, Inc. is proud to be the general contractor on
the NOAA Relocation, a $12M
new leed silver facility which is the first LEED project at Dulles
Airport. The NOAA Relocation is on
target for a Fall 2008 completion.

Focus Projects:
NOAA Facility
The
work on this project consists of a 14,000 SF Weather Forcast Office
Building, 2 Upper Air Inflation Buildings, Observation and Storage
Building, test beds, site facilities, roadways, relocation
of assocaiated antennas and demolition of abandoned structures. The
Weather Forcast Office Building is 2 Leed Silver Certified Buildings.
This 12M project is the first LEED project to be built by MWAA. It
requires the careful collaboration of the end user (NOAA),
an owner (MWAA), the cash handling manager (PMC), the Architect and
Milestone Construction to bring its successful consturction. The
schedule on this project is set in concrete
irrespective of any delay as the airport is building a future runway
adjacent to this site with a construction start date in late 2008. MCSI
is a proud member of USGBC and AIA and is excited to have 4 candidates
currently enrolled to be LEED accredited.
